HALE CENTER – The Lockney Lady Horns had a big week of blowing past the Hale Center Lady Owls 20-7 on Tuesday, and then a convincing 24-9 victory on Friday.
The wins placed the Lady Horns in a three-way tie in fourth place of the 3-2A softball race with the Sundown Roughettes and Sudan Nettes. The trio have identical 3-5 district records.
Lockney’s remaining two series are against Sundown and Sudan, which puts their playoff destiny in their own hands.
