LOCKNEY – The Lockney Lady Horns bats came alive in the fourth innings to produce 16-runs and take a 20-7 win over the Hale Center Lady Owls on Tuesday at Lady Horns Field in 3-2A softball action.
Lockney held a 4-0 lead through the third inning when the double-digit outburst took place. The Lady Horns batted twice through the lineup according to coach Trey Bale.
Annalicia Hernandez, Karen Trenado, Eddeny Chavira and Brinley Lefevre all had multiple hits and RBI each. Lockney’s offense was aided by several walks and batters hit by pitch from the Hale Center pitching.
Chavira got the win in the circle. She has won two of her last three outings.
Lockney and Hale Center will play Game 2 of their weekly series this Friday at Hale Center. First pitch will be at 5:00 p.m.
