FLOYDADA – Lady Winds Field continues to get upgrades to make it look like a top-notch stadium. The latest addition was in progress on Tuesday with the installation of a pre-fabricated press box.
Last Thursday the construction crews began assembling the bleachers that should seat approximately 450 fans. The Lady Winds will get their first action of playing with bleachers and press box on Saturday when they host the Sundown Roughettes in Game 2 of a 3-2A softball series. First pitch will be at 11:00 a.m. KFLP 900 AM will have the live broadcast.
Floydada Collegiate ISD is anxiously awaiting the scoreboard, but due to it being on back order Superintendent Gilbert Trevino says it may not arrive before the end of 2022 season.
