FLOYDADA – The Floydada Lady Winds kept the base paths occupied throughout the game thanks to 12-walks received from Hale Center pitching, and the Lady Winds capitalized with a convincing 15-0 win over the Lady Owls on a beautiful Saturday at Lady Winds Field. Floydada (18-2-1, 4-0) now extends its winning streak to seven games after taking two games from Hale Center in its two game weekly series in 3-2A Softball action.

Hale Center (0-8, 0-6) threatened to score in the top of the first inning with a pair of singles, but Floydada ace Erin Trevino shut-down the potential rally with two strikeouts.

Floydada virtually put the game away in the bottom of the first frame by sending 15-batters to plate and scored 11-runs off of eight walks by Lady Owls pitching and slapped five hits. Senior Celese Wickware had the biggest hit with a two RBI double to right-center field. The Lady Winds then scored four more runs in the third inning off of three hits and three walks.

Floydada will now take on the Lockney Lady Horns in a home-home series on Tuesday at Lady Winds Field, and then Saturday at the Lady Horns diamond. KFLP 900AM and 98.5 FM will have the radio broadcast.
