KENNEWICK, Wash. – A Floydada native well established in the Washington state legal community will soon take on a new role.
Attorney Norma Rodriguez was appointed last month as Judge of the Benton & Franklin Counties Superior Court by Washington Governor Jay Inslee.
In an interview published Monday with the Tri-Cities Herald, Rodriguez spoke of growing up in Floydada before her parents and family moved to Central Washington, where she was raised.

Earlier this month she told KNDU-TV that she credits her father for encouraging her to become a lawyer.

The news release announcing her appointment says Rodriguez earned her bachelor’s and law degrees from Gonzaga University.
