FLOYDADA – The ‘dogged’ determination of the Floydada Animal Shelter and Floydada Police have resulted in the return of a puppy believed to have been taken from the shelter late last month.
Cassandra Garza with the shelter tells the Record a pair of Floydada residents spotted the samoyed mix known as ‘Fuzz’ on Thursday night and that they assisted police in tracking the puppy to a home where he was recovered.
The dog initially went missing from the shelter on January 28. It was set to be transported to a rescue shelter in Iowa before disappearing. A $300 reward had been offered for its return.
