LOCKNEY — Lockney girls basketball coach Trey Bale felt Tuesday’s game with PCHEA (Panhandle Christian Home Educators Association) of Amarillo would be a mismatch and he was prepared with 15 players suited up to play. The entire team got plenty of action in Lockney’s decisive win of 83-9 at Longhorn Gym on Tuesday night.
The Lady Horns (19-4) have extended their winning streak to 11 straight games and remain unblemished at Longhorn Gym this season with a 9-0 record.
Lockney had 11 players that scored and a total of 13 grabbed a rebound. Adri Villarreal was the leading scorer with 23 points followed by Adaliyah Jones with 14, Senayda Bernal put in 12, and Gabriella Cervantes contributed 10. The leading rebounders were Haven Walker with five, while Jones and Mariah Ascensio each grabbed four.
This is the Lady Horns final non-district game. Lockney girls will start District 4-2A play this Friday at Ralls against the Lady Jackrabbits.
