LOCKNEY — Junior Adrianna Villarreal got Lockney’s first double-double of the season with 21 points and 10 steals to pace the Lady Horns (4-0) to a hard-fought 38-35 win over the Crosbyton Chiefettes on Tuesday.
Senior Gabriella Cervantes was the second-leading scorer with 11 points, while junior Seynada Bernal filled the stat sheet with five points, four rebounds, three steals and four blocked shots.
Sophomore Adalayah Jones had a team-high six rebounds.
Lockney had a 10-point lead at halftime of 26-16, but Crosbyton won the scoring battle in the third and fourth quarters to challenge the Lady Horns until the end of the game.
