Lady Horns pull off fourth quarter rally to stay unbeaten

LAMB COUNTY — Being on the road did not stop the Lockney Lady Longhorns from making a dramatic fourth quarter rally of 22-8 to knock off the Springlake-Earth Wolverines 55-47 in girls basketball on Tuesday. Lockney (2-0) ended up winning the even number quarters of the second and fourth to take the win.

Juniors Mariah Ascencio and Adrianna Villarreal led Lockney with 19 and 18 points respectively.

Senior Gabriella Cervantes made the double figures with 10. Ascencio also led the team with eight steals and seven assists. Junior Senayda Bernal was the top rebounder with eight, followed by Ascencio and sophomore Adaliyah Jones with six each.
